The \u201cChristmas Truce\u201d was the ceasefire that was called during World War I on various fronts in 1914 for the days around Christmastime.<\/p>\n

Christmas is traditionally the time of year when people feel inclined to foster peace on earth. They teach their children to respect positive concepts like Goodness, Justice, Generosity.<\/p>\n

With these reflections at the foundation of the installation, Penelope calls into play Carl Sagan\u2019s book, \u201cPale Blue Dot\u201d, which has provided a guiding light for all her artistic explorations. The astronomer\u2019s words are transformed into objects which symbolize human passions, and into words that remind us just how tiny our microcosm is in the face of the vast cosmic arena.<\/p>\n
